1. Our commitment
We build websites for a living, and we want ours to work for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, voice control, or other assistive technology.
2. Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, across mjlcollective.com and the client portal. These guidelines explain how to make web content easier to use for people with disabilities.
3. What we do
- Use clear headings, landmarks, and a “Skip to the content” link on every page.
- Make every link, button, and menu reachable and usable with a keyboard.
- Write text alternatives for meaningful images and hide decorative ones from screen readers.
- Keep text readable, with sufficient color contrast and layouts that work when zoomed to 200 percent and on small screens.
- Keep background videos short, muted, and silent to assistive technology, and respect the reduced motion setting on your device.
- Label form fields and show errors in text, not only in color.
4. Known limits
Some portfolio images are screenshots of client sites, so the text inside them may not be readable by a screen reader. We describe each one in its alt text. Client sites we link to are owned by our clients and may not meet the same standard. If something here gets in your way, please tell us.
5. Report a problem
If you have trouble using any part of this website or the client portal, email mitchell@mjlcollective.com. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the device or assistive technology you use. We will reply within 2 business days and work to fix the issue or get you the information another way.
6. Ongoing work
We review the site with automated checks and manual keyboard and screen reader testing when we make changes. This statement was last reviewed on October 12, 2026.
